Prerequisite: Students should have 3-6 months experience in Solaris 10 System Administration
Recommendation Statement:
It is assumed that the student has an understanding of UNIX. You must be familiar with basic UNIX commands, and the VI editor. The Solaris fundamentals course or an equivalent Unix SVR4 fundamentals course is recommended.
Course Description:
This course will provide a summary of tools and techniques used to monitor the performance of the hardware and operating system in an Oracle Solaris 10 operating environment. This course will also provide techniques used to tune and optimize the performance of the Oracle Solaris 10 operating environment. The student will use tools that are available in the standard release of the Solaris 10 Operating Environment release 1/13 (update 11).
