I&#8217;ve sold over 100,000 copies around the world.\u00a0 Thousands of readers have been certified as a result taking my training courses and using my study materials.\u00a0 I draw from over 25 years of experience as a UNIX \/ Linux subject matter expert and educator.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>I began my career in the early 1980&#8217;s managing Sun systems for a manufacturing company in Michigan. In 1994, I formed a consulting and training business, UnixEd. Since that time I&#8217;ve worked as a contract system administrator at over 250 companies across the United States and I&#8217;ve trained thousands of system administrators in Oracle Solaris, IBM AIX, HP&#8217;s HP-UX, and Linux. Not only have I spent my career administering these platforms, I&#8217;ve worked on nearly every UNIX platform that has existed including SCO, Digital UNIX, IRIX, and many Linux distributions. In my spare time, I&#8217;ve written 11 best selling books on the Solaris Operating System.
